Theresians showcase their skills in Himig Theresian and Theresian Harmony Fest

February 23, 2024, marked the 17th anniversary of Saint Therese Catholic School, which is known for its dedication to holistic education. During the third day of the celebration, the students’ musical abilities were on display. The occasion gave the Theresians a chance to showcase their vocal prowess and love of music through a wide range of performances.

Guiding the event with grace were Ms. Catrina Yzabela O. Azucena and Ms. Patricia Marie M. Lacuarin, the Grade 11A and Grade 7 advisers, who served as the Masters of the Ceremony.

Himig Theresian, a celebration of Filipino music and love songs, stood out among the many events the school arranged. Students were able to showcase their vocal abilities in addition to encouraging artistic expression among their peers through this singing competition.


In the Primary Department, students from Grades 1 to 3 exhibited exceptional talent. The winners included the Grade 1 students (Gold), Grade 2 students (Silver), and the Grade 3 students (Bronze).

Moving up to the Intermediate Department, Grades 4 to 6, Chloe Grace J. Sedenio from Grade 4 emerged victorious with a captivating performance, earning the Gold medal. Sheander Alexis Magsino (Silver), Katie Suzie B. Rible (Bronze) from Grade 5, and Reikamei S. Nakajima (Bronze) from Grade 6 then showcased and displayed commendable skills

The competition heated up in the Junior High School department, where Haero Taynell Z. Abarro and Marco Marjeneil Ezikiel S. Lorino (Bronze) from Grade 7 delivered noteworthy performances. In Grade 9, Jethan Matthew O. Bahian impressed the audience with his musical prowess. Grade 10 participants Eunize P. Viason (Gold) and Alyssa M. Santos (Silver) captivated the judges and the students with their performance.

Grade 11 saw fierce competition with Trish Kirzten O. Paulino (Bronze), Bernadeth Nicole A. Bergonia, Mickaella B. Morados showcasing their talents. Kristian Gabriel N. Rodriguez (Gold) and Mheriann Loussette I. Mendez  excelled from Grade 11B. As the competition reached its peak in Grade 12, Precious Anne V. Tibo (Gold) and Zycka S. Rivera delivered stellar performances.

A short break was held as the Himig Theresian concluded, to give way to the next program: the Theresian Harmony Fest.

The students and parents gathered around the venue as the ticket booth opened. After having a roll call of the participants, the program started with a Doxology, led by Grade 12 Students, Fianna Betic and Precious Tibo, which was followed by the Grade 9 students gracing the audience with a cultural dance.

The festivities kicked off with a blast from the past as participants transported the audience back to the 70s with energetic dance performances. Sharmaine Dumo, Precious Tibo, Gelanie Araga, and Brianne Baat captivated the audience with their groovy moves, setting the tone for an evening filled with nostalgia and excitement.

Next up was the first group of singers, consisting of Eunize Viason, Alyssa Santos, Haero Abarro, Marco Lorino, and Katie Rible, who delivered a stellar vocal performance. Their harmonious rendition mesmerized the audience, showcasing the unity and talent present within the Theresian community.

The excitement continued to build as the winners of the Himig Theresian, which are the Grade 1 students, Chloe Grace Sedenio, Eunize Viason and Gabriel Rodriguez took the stage for a captivating final performance. Their energy left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

Switching gears, other performers showcased a modern dance performance that pushed the boundaries of creativity and expression. Brent Austin Bernal, Urrynel Morines, Keith Episioco, Kerby Valerio, and Miguel Acosta wowed the audience with their innovative choreography and flawless execution.

The second group of singers, featuring Cassandra Gliana, Angel Anderson, Raizie Abdon, Sheena Lening, and Brianne Baat, delivered a dynamic and captivating performance that showcased their unique blend of style and flair.

As they are about to the most exciting part, a contemporary dance performance by Ankaa Lurion, Junel Badidles, Dawn Lozano, and Fianna Betic, showed their emotive and powerful choreography resonated with the audience, leaving a lasting impact.

Upon the conclusion of the singing and dancing portion, came the most anticipated part of the Theresian Harmony Fest, which is the Collaborative Theater Play. Renz Kenji De Leon, Ashley Boc, Haero Abarro, and Sharmaine Dumo played the main roles for the theater play titled, “We’ll Be Safe Here” directed by Ms. Kyla Edgianna Edillo, Ms. Catrina Yzabela Azucena, Ms. Ace Anne Villarimo, Ms. Patricia Marie Lacuarin, and Eunize P. Viason. The actors and directors gave the Theresians an unforgettable moment by conducting this theater play. 

The Theresian Harmony Fest concluded with a heartfelt gratitude to the Theresians from the actors and directors whose talents and dedication made this program possible.
