History

Saint Therese Catholic School, Inc. was formerly named Hermano Miguel Integrated School. It was a school founded in 2007 by Mr. George S. Go together with his wife, Mrs. Terry Go, and dedicated to the memory of his late parents, Mr. Jimmy T. Go, Sr., and Mrs. Ancheta Sy-Go.

From May 2007 to March 2009, HMIS was under consultancy status with the Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO). Sr. Teresita C. Octavio served as its first principal in its first year of operations. She was replaced by Dr. Perlie Marie H. Macaraig the following school year. The start of 2009 marked the beginning of a new chapter for HMIS.  Mr. and Mrs. George S. Go partnered with Jesus the Risen Savior School (JRSS) and placed the school under new management. Ms. Tanya Therese M. Ilmedo, an educator, became the HMIS’s School Head from April 2009 to 2011.  Mrs. Mandra Naomi P. Choeng replaced her as principal. The fourth principal who served from 2011 to 2017 is Mrs. Marlene Dominese. In December 2016, Mr. George S. Go sought the help of the DICES in the management of HMIS. 

The following school year 2017-2018, the school is formally named Saint Therese Catholic School and had a new Board of Trustees composed of Bishop Reynaldo Evangelista, Fr. Alain Manalo, Mr. George S.  Go, and Mr. James Wang. Fr. Alain Manalo–DICES Superintendent is the Corporate Secretary while Mrs.Cleotilda P. De Quiroz is its new principal. After three years of her term as Principal, Mrs. Cleotilda P. De Quiroz took her early retirement. Now, Mr. Romar B. Reyes has been appointed as the new school principal of STCS up to the present.
